Last week, we had the privilege of meeting thousands of transportation professionals at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) 2025. For Amazon Relay, being at MATS represents more than just having a booth – it’s about engaging with the professionals who keep our nation’s supply chain moving.
What is the Mid-America Trucking Show?
MATS has been the heartbeat of the trucking industry for over 50 years, bringing together over 56,000 attendees and 870 exhibitors annually in Louisville, Kentucky. This is where the industry comes together to shape it’s future.
Carriers learn about new opportunities, drivers explore emerging technologies, and industry leaders share their visions for what’s ahead. As North America’s largest annual trucking event, MATS allows trucking professionals to connect face-to-face with the companies they work with and explore new partnerships (that means lots of free swag).
Amazon Relay helped sponsor the event, and had a booth on-site to showcase all the ways carriers can haul smiles.
Highlights from Amazon Relay’s booth at MATS
Our booth in the North Wing buzzed with activity as visitors received personalized guidance on everything from the application processes to trucking opportunities.
- Interactive tech demos: Carriers got hands-on experience with our load board, Post A Truck feature, and auctions marketplace – tools designed to give them more control over their business.
- Educational sessions: Throughout the event, Amazon teams presented on our bread and butter – spot loads, contracts, and our mobile driver experience.
- Carrier success stories: Our panel discussion on the ProTalk stage featured a Relay carrier and an Amazon Freight Partner sharing their firsthand experience working with Amazon. We spoke to Pinnacle Transport and KnowHow Transportation LLC, who offered valuable insights for those considering joining our network. You can watch the full discussion above.
- Trucking simulator: Behind the wheel of life-like monitors, attendees of all ages tested their driving skills while learning about Amazon’s commitment to safety and efficiency.
Growing together
MATS 2025 reinforced what we’ve known since day 1: the freight industry thrives on relationships and trust. Every conversation at our booth, whether with an owner-operator or fleet manager, helped us better understand how we can support them.
Right now, that includes:
- Access to consistent, quality freight
- Fair, transparent pricing
- Tech that makes it easier to book and manage loads on the go
- Quick, reliable payment
- The freedom to choose how they want to work
Looking forward
Whether you’re already part of our network or considering joining Relay, thanks for stopping by our booth and sharing your perspectives. We’re committed to being more than just another load board, and together, we’re building the future of freight transportation, one mile at a time.
If you couldn’t make it to Louisville, we’d still love to connect. Apply to haul with Relay on desktop or download the app on iOS or Android to track your application’s progress on the go. Questions about our expectations? Visit our FAQ page.
