RelayCon is Amazon Relay’s premier event where top performing carriers come together to learn, grow, and connect. It’s the carriers’ opportunity to share success strategies, learn about new Relay innovations, and get firsthand insights into what’s next for the Relay program. There are keynotes from Amazon leaders and focused breakout sessions to provide tips on carrier operations.
But RelayCon isn’t just about Amazon presenting information. Each year, we award a few attendees that go above and beyond to ensure safe, reliable delivery. Here’s a look at the 2025 RelayCon award winners.
Education Excellence Award
Entrepreneurs learn by doing, and they’re constantly exploring new ideas and finding creative ways to solve problems. They build companies that adapt to change by creating a culture of improvement, which can often come through learning.
The Education Excellence Award celebrates carriers who make learning a priority. It recognizes a carrier that has completed the most courses in a year through Relay’s Learning Center, a free and optional digital library of safety, maintenance, and compliance tips for carriers and their drivers. And the award winner took advantage of these courses while maintaining good standing within the network.
2025’s Relay Education Excellence Award winner was Marino Rodriguez Ramirez from EZE Logistics.
Frugality Excellence Award
While Amazon Relay is focused on building technology that helps carrier businesses grow, we also understand that success in transportation comes from maximizing every opportunity and making smart use of available resources. That’s the essence of frugality, one of Amazon’s key leadership principles and a trait we see in the most successful carriers.
The Frugality Excellence Award recognizes carriers who embody this principle by taking full advantage of our Deals and Discounts programs while maintaining full good standing within the network. This award demonstrates that being resourceful isn’t just about saving money - it’s about smart business management.
2025’s Relay Frugality Excellence Award winner was O’Shea Shoatz-Bey from Shoats-Bey Logistics LLC.
Safety Excellence Award
Top carriers model leadership. We talk about safety as the foundation of everything we do – and these winners didn’t just talk about it, they lived it.
The Safety Excellence Award recognizes two carriers who continue to exceed the bar and maintain a safe and compliant fleet. These are carriers who remain crash-free while hauling Amazon loads, and whose fleets operate safely. Recipients of this award have also maintained compliance with the Relay Program Policies throughout the year.
2025’s Safety Excellence Award winners were Nisrein Alfares from R&K Quality Transport and Dovran Rejepov from Lay Freight LLC.
Performance Excellence Award
Carriers receive a performance score that determines when and how many loads they can book on Relay. It also helps make sure Amazon loads are delivered safely and on time.
The Performance Excellence Award honors carriers who exemplify Amazon’s leadership principles through consistent, measurable results. This award celebrates carriers with limited load rejections, consistent on-time delivery, and strong safety scores. We consider their freight volume, tenure hauling Amazon loads, and compliance with Relay Program Policies.
2025’s Performance Excellence Award was Richard Loya with Classic Trucking LLC.
