To bid in an auction for semi-trailer rental contracts, you must have:
- An active account on Amazon Relay
- Sufficient 53’ trailers to participate during contract dates
- CARB compliant or SmartWay designated trailers
- Valid DOT inspection throughout the semi-trailer lease contract
Auction details
To lease semi-trailers to Amazon, a fleet owner’s equipment must meet following requirements:
- 53’ dry van trailers within maximum manufacturing age
- Mandatory trailer skirts
- Swing or roll up type doors
- Air or spring type suspension
Every semi-trailer rental auction will also have its own requirements.
- Equipment count: The number of trailers required for an auction
- Contract duration: The start and end date of the contract
- Auction cut-off time: The time remaining for your company to place, edit, or withdraw its bid
